I currently own a 1980 5513 Submariner but I've been questioned a couple of times about the bracelet. Mine has a 78360 bracelet without the oyster-lock. Now I've been told that this is the bracelet fitted to the GMT of the same period but NOT the Sub. Rolex will fit the watch with that bracelet and deems it suitable. The clasp on 78360 is a closer match than the diver clasp. If you are close to RSC Dallas or RSC NY, you can walk in with your watch head and get a 78360 for 475 plus tax unless they are out of them. It is definitely in the “inspired by” camp as there are similarities to a Sub, but almost nothing identical.
